Imagine a home that wakes you up to the gentle texture of natural wood around you, instead of the harsh concrete glare you rise up to every day!
A home that feels part of the very nature you’ve always dreamt of living in.
A home where the grounding aroma of pinewood instantly unplugs you from the outside world and tunes you into peace.
If the idea of such a home excites you, we welcome you to the world of Wooden Homes and Wooden Cottages in Goa!
For decades, concrete homes have been everyone’s default choice. However, as time progresses, choices evolve. And now, we’ve all reached a point where we must choose what doesn’t merely fascinate us, but is also enduring, beautiful from within, and gentle on nature.
Interestingly, many across India have chosen Wooden Homes over the conventional ones. But why did they opt for something so unconventional? How do they feel now? What do they have to say about their choice? Let’s find out from Indian homeowners who switched to wooden residences.
Why Wooden Homes?
Usually, anything wooden is associated with aesthetics. Yes, wood has a unique visual appeal. But confining wood to optics would be an injustice to the several other benefits it provides. So, in addition to organic beauty, here’s why many homeowners in India have switched to Wooden Homes.
- Thermal Comfort: Wood’s natural insulating properties can help moderate indoor temperatures. This can help curb your home’s energy consumption and costs in the long run.
- Faster Construction: Components are usually prefabricated and built in a controlled factory environment. On the site, the components are only installed. This reduces construction time and optimizes material use.
- Design Flexibility: Wood allows for greater customization than steel or concrete. Therefore, you can build your home the way you want with your choice of layouts and finishes.
- Sustainability: Responsibly sourced wood is a renewable building material and therefore a sustainable choice. So, no more guilt of staying in a home that hurts the environment!
- Connection with Nature: Wood’s inherent texture, appearance, and feel make a home feel more integrated with its surroundings.
What Do Homeowners Staying in Wooden Homes Have to Say?
- Mr Sanjog Bhosle
My wife and I holiday frequently in Goa. So, we thought, why not make Goa our second home? We reviewed several options until one of our friends suggested we go wooden. Choosing something unconventional like wood, particularly amidst the hot and humid conditions of Goa, wasn’t as simple. We gave it considerable thought and finally decided to give it a try. And thus, we chose Vrisa Innovation.
Believe us, choosing a wooden home with Vrisa Innovation proved to be a worthwhile decision. It’s been three years now. Our home has seen Goa’s scorching summers and torrential rainfall. Not a single wrinkle so far. Vrisa’s wood and construction quality, visionary planning and structured approach have helped keep maintenance minimal. Besides, we don’t have to deal with rising electricity bills to keep our home cool during the hot season. The home stays naturally cool. All in all, it’s been a wonderful experience. Thanks, Vrisa!

I spent my childhood in a leaky home. Therefore, the first raindrops brought happiness to the world but worries for people like us.
Therefore, as a grown-up, when I decided to build a home for myself, the first thing I wanted to ensure was that it was leak-proof while being gentle on nature. One of my cousins recommended building a Wooden Home. Initially, I rejected it upfront as I wasn’t sure about wood’s capabilities to avoid leakages. But then, he recommended connecting with Vrisa. I must say Vrisa changed my perception about wooden homes. Rather, I thank Vrisa, the manufacturer of our Wooden Home, who built such a solid Wooden Home with structural-grade certified Pinewood for us.
Our home has seen several monsoons now. No cracks, leaks whatsoever. Visitors wonder how a Wooden Home can survive so many wet seasons without suffering any damage. But deep within, we know the secret!

Wooden Home in Pune? No way! Honestly, that was the initial reaction when someone suggested this option. The reasons were obvious. I didn’t know how long the home would take to build. I wasn’t aware of the cost either. Besides, the performance aspect also wasn’t clear!
However, I must say, Vrisa Innovation changed my perception. The company explained everything from initial conceptualization to final handover. Its experts created a practical development roadmap that helped me clearly understand and predict the time and cost the home would require to build.
Yet another striking capability of Vrisa is customization. Today, I live in a fully personalized Wooden Home perfectly crafted to my requirements.

Back in 2024, I read a review about Wooden Cottages in Goa. Initially, I wondered if this was practically possible. I knew Wooden Homes exist. But the idea seemed a far-fetched one in Goa. So, I was clear that I wouldn’t go for it.
Then, one of my batchmates posted a feedback video for Vrisa Innovation on a WhatsApp group. He described how wonderful the home has turned out to be. While doing so, he expressly mentioned the home’s durability, personalization quotient, and eco-friendliness.
I considered the video a guideline. The next day, I connected with Vrisa, and I was on my way to build a Wooden Home for my family in Goa. The company’s experts planned everything, while also helping me plan my budget. The construction was unexpectedly quick. Besides, the company maintained high-quality standards throughout, while customizing every possible aspect to build a home fully in sync with my vision.
The home hasn’t suffered any cracks or leaks. The color has stayed intact. Besides, I am happy my second home is an environmentally friendly one.
